Educating the gallery’s patrons is an invariable goal for the Windsor Gallery staff. Not everyone who walks through its doors will make a purchase, but they will leave with a richer understanding of the collection in the gallery.
Windsor Fine Art caters to more than just the Royal Street crowd, though there’s no shortage of artistic selection. The gallery boasts an assortment of legendary artists and their worksworks such as Pablo Picasso, Albrecht Dürer, José Basso, Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró, and many more.
Though valuable work is prevalent in the majority of Windsor’s collection, the gallery prides itself on providing a wide range of affordable pieces.
“Someone can walk into my gallery, and spend $2,000 on a nice little Miró lithograph, or they can spend $110,000 on a major Miró carborundum and aquatint,” Jack Bosa, owner and director of Windsor Gallery, said.

Bosa, who is originally from Cape Town, South Africa, came to New Orleans in January of 2002 when he became co-owner of the gallery.
Educating the gallery’s patrons is an invariable goal for the Windsor Gallery staff. Not everyone who walks through its doors will make a purchase, but they will leave with a richer understanding of the collection in the gallery.
“The staff is very knowledgeable, and ready to impart that knowledge onto whoever walks into the gallery, whether they are going to buy or not,” Bosa said.
Deanne Martin has been a sales representative with Windsor Fine Art since 2002. Constantly broadening her knowledge of fine art, Martin, as well as the other staff at Windsor, gets to know her clients by teaching them about the art she is so passionate about.
Martin originally worked in interior design before coming on board with the Windsor staff, and was given the opportunity to train in the business of art and art sales out in California for several years before returning to New Orleans to continue working with Windsor gallery. She is eager and willing to share her knowledge with anyone who walks through the gallery doors.
“We nurture our clients. We build relationships with them and help them through the process of purchasing a piece of art. We have a huge inventory base, and we’ll go above and beyond to get them what they want. We really get to know our clients,” Martin said.

The gallery, primarily distinguished by its high quality art, has remained consistent in both the types of artists it represents -classical masters- and the clientele it services. Although contemporary artists aren’t prevalent in Windsor’s collections, they are not unwelcome, only held to a high standard.
“In order to carry living artists in my gallery they’re going to have to be able to stand on their own against the great masters, like Picasso, Rembrandt, etc. There’s a certain level of high quality work here that makes the gallery distinctive to most throughout the city,” Bosa said.
Whether getting to know a future client, or educating the broader foot traffic of Royal Street about their collection, the Windsor Fine Art staff is proud to represent and house some of the most distinguished art in New Orleans. Bosa, Martin, and the rest of the gallery staff are always eager to share their passion and knowledge of the world of fine art.
